The U5 Age Group
Here at the Rolly, we know that when coaching the U5 age group it can be a very daunting one for children as they take some of their first steps into playing sports with others, as well as being taught by a coach.
- We create fun, simple and engaging games and tasks for the kids to explore
- We allow for children to play independently as well as work collaboratively with others
- We provide a whole range of different equipment and objects for them to explore i.e. cones, goals, hurdles, ladders etc
- We recreate the playground (use obstacle courses and be willing to allow the children to play freely)
We understand that at this delicate age range children will develop at differing levels and at different times. At the Rolly, children are given the time and positive encouragement they require to work and improve at their own pace.
As children reach the end of this section of their footballing journey, they will be ready to start Fun 4's. This will allow them to generate a basic game understanding and set them on their way to 5 a side football.
